Land adjacent to Maureen Close, Solihull

The site is located 10 miles East of Solihull and approximately 5 miles West of Coventry. It is is currently a vacant field, which is currently overgrown with a number of mature trees to the boundary. The site is 2.2 hectares.

Albeit closer to Coventry, the site is within the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull and is currently classified as Greenbelt.

To the South the site abuts Floyds Fields playing field and play park. The Rough Close Scout campsite and activity centre is directly to the West abutting the site, with open fields beyond.

To the North the site directly abuts a large housing estate to one half of the site (Pheasant Oak Road) and a field to the other half of the site. To the East the site abuts a large open field with houses beyond the field.

Whilst the site is currently Greenbelt, it can be seen from the images below that it abuts the urban sprawl of Coventry.

It can be seen that if dwellings were built to the Eastern half of the site, it would in fact join up the two existing housing estates off Maureen Close and Pheasant Oak

For the feasibility study the access to the proposed new estate is shown from Maureen Close.

The site could possibly also be accessed from Pheasant Oak. Both options require access across a third party land.
